Jewelry Benefit Party

"Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you." - James 1:27

I had the honor of photographing a very sweet event last week. Shaping Destiny, an organization that helps families and orphans in Cameroon, Africa, put on a fun jewelry party, featuring One Market's unique Peruvian jewelry, to help raise money for orphan care. One Market is an organization that helps orphans and artisans in Peru, and their motto, "Products with a Purpose," says it all. The jewelry is handmade by local Peruvian artisans and sold by One Market, helping to provide opportunities and improve the living conditions for the people in impoverished communities in Peru.

At the party, two ladies became child sponsors for the children of Cameroon through Shaping Destiny's Child Sponsorship Program. There was also a raffle for some fun giveaways including a coffee mug with Cameroon coffee beans, a cute bag full of makeup and goodies from Cotone Clothing + Beauty Bar, a succulent planter and cactus print, and a photo shoot with me! I'm so excited to do a shoot with the winner!

Shaping Destiny's website says, "We are a transformation and poverty alleviation organization created to inspire and empower people to shape their destinies." I believe Shaping Destiny and One Market both share the same heart for helping to alleviate poverty, create opportunities, and empower the lives of others in communities around the world. The two organizations truly care for God's people by loving and supporting them.
